HEALING TESTIMONIES / WORD FOR THE HOUR

In Proverbs 23:18 it reads, “For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.” Expect all your struggles and pain to come to an end this year. There’s an end to your financial calamity, an end to your sorrows, an end to your sickness, and your expectation shall not be cut off. Expectations are breeding grounds for miracles. You’ve got to have lofty expectations. There’s an interesting concept in Genesis Chap. 2 vs. 19 & 20. “And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field;” This is amazing. God created all the animals, and it wasn’t God who named them but Adam. God made no attempt to change the names. Whatever Adam called them, God agreed. Adam named cattle and all the other creatures.

If you call this year the year of supernatural breakthroughs in your life, God will agree with you. If you call it the year of defeat for you, then it is so.  Some of you have not named it yet in your lives. I believe that this year will be the most productive year ever for you; spiritually, financially, materially, and mentally. It will be the year of overflow in your lives. Take time to declare God’s word over your life and family, setting the tone for this year. If this is going to be a season of greatness, there are certain things that we must do. I’m going to cover a few of them in this edition. The first thing is God’s Word must govern our lives. In Joshua 1:8, the Bible states that we must meditate on God’s word day and night. In meditating, God’s word will renew our mind and pave the way to victory. In today’s vocabulary, meditation is “self talk” or speaking under our breath. We need to spend time speaking God’s Word to our circumstances.  I find it helpful in my private study to speak God’s Word aloud as I meditate. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. God’s Word will renew our mind and the subconscious aligns itself to the Word of God.

We have been programmed to live by tradition, religion and experience. When we take God’s Word and declare it over our lives and family, in due season, it will begin to override our tradition and circumstances. Compare it to eating good food like carrots, beans, and chicken loaded with vitamins. Once we eat it, we no longer have control over the food. The digestive system takes over and absorbs it into our system. Over a period of time, the results are manifested. We become what we eat. In the same breadth, meditating on the Word of God over a time period, the Holy Spirit extracts it and mixes it with our faith, and our subconscious mind grabs it and produces wonderful results. Speak God’s Word over your situation. We need to agree with God. He has spoken some wonderful things over our lives; we need to affirm it by claiming it. Jer. 29:11 is a good one. II Cor. 4:13-speaking it will quicken your faith. The next thing is to walk by faith. Speaking the Word of God will fortify your faith.

In Gen. 17, God changed Abram’s name to Abraham-father of many nations. In Rom. 4:17-22, Abraham, by his name declared and agreed with God’s pronouncement over his life. God called him the father of many nations even though his wife was barren. Declaring the Word of God over your situation will bring the desired result. For instance, you are in financial drought, but you are declaring Phil. 4:19 in spite of your situation. The desired result will manifest if you’re consistent. This is not a “magic wand” or “hit and miss” proposition. God has magnified His Word above all of His name. No Word of God is void of power. Isa. 55:11-His word will not return to Him void. Your life must be shaped by your faith in God. When you wake up and feel like a dog, it doesn’t make you one. Faith is the key and your faith is strengthened by God’s Word.

In Matthew 10:1, we find one of the most critical ingredients to operating in God’s fullness of power. Vs.1: “And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.” It is interesting to note that Jesus did not call his disciples and automatically give them power. The Bible indicates; he called them unto himself first, and then empowered them. I believe it is significant to observe that he called them into a life of intimacy first, and then gave them power.

As we travel around the globe, preaching this gospel of emancipation, we see God doing mighty things among his people. We have been asked, “How is this possible?” The answer is intensifying our prayer life. The closer we get to Him, the greater His power. Intimacy with Him will bring His glory to our lives.

As His glory radiates from us, people around us will be touched. Jesus is the ultimate model for ministry. In Luke 5:16, the secret of His power was re-emphasized, “And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.” In  Luke 6:12, we see another example of that, “And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.”If Jesus needed to pray all night, what do we expect? That was why He operated in power. He never reacted to situations,  but He acted instead. Begin to get closer to Him. Hunger is a critical ingredient in this equation. As you get closer, His power will intensify in your life. Look at Bible examples of those who were intimate with Him and the results from that intimacy.

Moses was in His presence for many days, and the glory of God overwhelmed him. Peter was another example. His intimacy absorbed God’s power so much that his shadow healed many.We have seen Him  do great things among His people in many nations. I’m not giving you the impression that we’ve arrived. He’s planted such an insatiable appetite in our spirit for Him. As we separate and consecrate, He comes and heals His people. His healing power is becoming greater each day. You’re seeing portions of testimonies from our last meeting in Kenya. There are many more remarkable miracles from that meeting. In summary, this is your season for greatness. You must walk in it. You must declare what you want and God will oblige.

Blessings
